Cultural
Association of Bengal popularly known as CAB, was founded
in New York City in the year 1971. The founder members
of CAB felt the necessity of feeling for Bengal staying
outside Bengal. They also made constant endeavor to
exchange and interact with the culture, education, tradition,
heritage and business of Bengal staying thousands of
miles away.
Gradually,
the activities of CAB spread from New York to other
cities of North America and onto Bengal. Periodical
meets, seminars, literature activities were conducted
in North America and Bengal. This took a large shape
from the year 1981, in the name of North American Bengali
Conference (NABC), popularly known as Biswa Banga Sanmelan
that is held in different cities every year in North
America.
CAB
organizes this event every year 'to reflect
upon all the accomplishments of the past and look ahead
to a shiny golden future'. Truly, we believe 'the
sky is the limit' and CAB looks forward to being
a part of upward journey.
Our
